In many cases (except tasks that involve heavy disk read/write) my SlowSilver smokes the Dual GHz One-Eye Mike.

Really? Do you have any evidence of this? I've run a good number of different benchmarks, every single one indicates the new dual 1 Ghzs are faster than the old ones. And why are you not happy with yours?
This is great news.. im wondering how far off it will be when our macs can do everything instantaneously. Boots up right when you hit the power button, encodes MP3's in a split second, encodes a 2 hour DVD in a matter of seconds. G12 maybe?

No problems with it at all, and the base version of quake 3 runs fine in classic (1024x768 max settings)!!
I geuss it must be the GeForce 4 Ti
Had to give it 512MB RAM, 256MB is just to little, apple should give these models more.
Nice setup you got! What graphics card is it, the ATi 9000 pro???
