I like "lapzilla" for the big one and for the small one, it's too long and complicated to call it the "g4 ibook with an aluminum case and a few extra goodies for a pretty decent price that probably doesn't belong in the pro line, but with the pro-sumer people who love g4 cubes," so let's just call it "Flat Cube, Resurrected."

Though LapZilla seems seems funny... it also seems to be the only one that sticks... I happen to like it at the end of the day... I also think that the 12" needs to something simple... minibook seems to be the apparent winner there... also, it is smaller then the iBook with the same size screen. So Lapzilla and Minibook get my votes... now I can't wait until I am being overshadowed by LapZilla!!!

Well like a moron I started a similar thread in General Discussion, should've come here....

    ANYWAY

How's about generically refering to them both as Alumi-Books?

(hint: try saying it out loud, it's very aliterative)

But, I'm really sold on Lapzilla as the SPECIFIC name for the 17-incher....haven't found anything as appropriate for the 12-incher yet.

    That's my 2¢ worth.

TowerBook's not bad. I think PiBook is fitting for the little one. It's a PoweriBook

well, i'm irish, so it's gotta be a wee PB (Powerbook). it sounds good on the tongue. although i'll probably just grin and call it my wee mobile studio when i get mine with a superdrive from apple

oh, and yes, lapzilla is good for the 17" ... i think that suits it well

well despite my wideheaded shark attempt, variations on monster lizards appeal.

17 - lapzilla. definitely the winner.

15 - Ti Rex (retrofitting to theme and element)

12 - velociraptor (velocity engine shoehorned into pack hunter)

    maybe lapzilla (17) - dragon (15) - basilisk (12)

if a widescreen (13.3?) mid-model arrives it can be those fan-neck upright-running lizards

if the colour changing mood-case patent is true beyond keyboard lighting, we're obviously due for a chameleon

any iTablet would be too tempting to tag iGuana if the iPod is already a groovy gecko

except, of course, for the herpetological check-up required

upside? no heat problems with cold-blooded product names.
