I tried everything but don't get the option to ormat it MS-DOS as volume format. So once disk is mounted, I start disk utility, click on firewire drive on left, in the various options, i select erase . then from volume format, i see only 5 options: mac os extended ( journalled), mac os extended, mac os exended journaled case sensitive, mac os extended case sensitive, unix. THATS it. I don't get MSDOS option. Could someone tell me how to get the option to have MS-DOS volume format?

Please advise.

One way to do it is to boot from the install CD, then partition the drive from the disk utility on the CD.

I figured it out guys, I was clicking on volume itself so it was not letting me. I clicked on device and then I got MS-DOS option so it is all good.

    Thanks..
