Considering the divergence between Musk and Apple objectives, I'd say that they don't actually intersect.
Apple is looking for long term and high margin growth while Musk has declared openly that his objective is to electrify transports and to bring sustainable energy production to market as soon as possible. I have to admit that he has realized mostly that objective by forcing economical forces to jump in ... and I am grateful to him for that incredible endeavor.
that being said, he has to much on his mind, he will have, sooner or later, to choose from his list of priorities and let go a few of them to the natural commercial proponents.
