    I don't use software on my Mac from advertising companies. I use Google apps on OS only, downloaded from the App Store.

    I gave up on Google many years ago, after they repeatedly violated my trust. As Mr_Prez205 said, "They have been caught lying about it too many times."

    If I have to use YouTube on my Mac, I use the Duck Player within the DuckDuckGo browser: "One new feature is the Duck Player, a YouTube player that prevents the website from serving the viewer targeted ads."
