Does Apple's platform need to be opened up?
Probably what the real beef is, is that governments don't like people buying products that are not easy for them to snoop on. Apple takes its user security seriously and that probably doesn't sit well with the intelligence agencies. Apple achieved its market position by making superior products. Unless Apple is doing something illegal to sabotage its competitors then the government needs to stay out. It seems that they get nervous if anybody is "too successful." Being successful is becoming a crime. -

'An incredible money-making machine:' Apple's iPhone captures record 51% of global smartph...
Jobs discovered something a long time ago that the “experts” can’t figure out. That is if you make a quality product that people love, they will buy it. I hope that Apple never loses that lesson. I think slowing down the features in the next IOS release and squashing bugs is the right move. I hope Apple continues to follow its own course and takes the vision of its founder to the next level. -
