If you updated your HomePod to 13.2, do not reset it or remove it from the Home app
I am normally the annoying guy at the table defending Apple to the end. However, I have to say this has not been a good month of software rollouts. Staggered releases with changing dates with bugs, bugs and more bugs. This HomePod issue really should necessitate someone losing their job. The other issues this month were excusable, I guess. But, this one is not. -
Apple now looking to tackle car manufacture by itself
I have loved Apple for close to 30 years. I have been accused by family and friends of being a fanboy. I have dreamed of an AppleCar.
However, I would not buy one, no matter how great it seems. Apple has a history of creating great stuff that they never fully put their energy into later. They basically abandon it. That just can't happen with a car. You can't tell your customers 4 years later that you are discontinuing it. I just don't trust them.
I will keep my Tesla, thank you very much. -

Tesla Wireless Charging Platform review: A premium, Tesla-branded AirPower clone
jas99 said:This screams out “lack of focus”. There is absolutely no reason for Tesla to issue products like this. They need to take care of their primary business, and say no to superfluous products that simply take time and attention away from their very challenging primary product. -
Apple updates Final Cut Pro X with Magnetic Timeline, redesigned UI for new MacBook Pro Touch Bar
altivec88 said:Do you work for Apple? How do you know this with such certainty? I wish Tim would have at least hinted to something like this in his keynote. If I can get a concrete statement from Apple stating what you said, we will hold off switching but in reality we just can't wait any longer. We require a bunch of new systems and its costing us tons of dollars in lost productivity. We've already done our homework and specked out Dell and HP Xeon machines. We are littlerly a click away from moving forward and after that, there is no going back. If Apple would at least lower their prices on the current 3 year old MacPros, we would pick up a few to get by, but there is no way we are paying those prices for these machines. -
Tim Cook says Apple is interested in both content creation and ownership
Tart apple. said:I'm not a big Tim Cook fan. He is slowly running aapl into the ground through sure bordom and lack of vision. Innovate or go to the Kodak graveyard. Even IBM is attempting to innovate in different arenas such as the cloud and still their employees have a thick layer of dust. If innovation is a bad watch then may I remind apple that once the pet rock sold millions but was soon forgotten by the chia pet and the clapper. Yes I hAve an apple computer I like it, but even there the keyboard is annoying.
Timmy, innovate or resign and if you truly have no ideas because you are too busy shaking your ass around political views and promoting life styles, may I suggest a M&A maybe snap chat or anything. Don't be the pink version of Balmer, accounting is not innovation. Jobs was a visionary, with ideas that were way ahead of the curve. Today's apple is like watching milk slowly sour. Now go do something, anything, good luck.

Apple enables lower App Store price tiers in Canada, New Zealand
lolliver said:Mr_Grey said:Maybe you're not explaining it correctly, but this just sounds like marketing BS to me. All the prices in Canadian and Australian App stores as well as all Apple stores are going UP, not down, whereas this reads like the exact opposite of that, which is likely what was intended.
It seems very deceptive and deceitful to me. It's essentially telling developers to "take the hit" for Apple's higher prices.
"You're App used to be $.99, but we raised the price, so you can now re-price it at $.99 which would be $.60 cents in reality."
Customers are happy because the price rises are hidden from them, Apple is happy because they don't make a single cent less.
Developers can choose between looking like assholes with high prices, or cutting the price of their product by 40%.
Absolute bullshit. Apple should be ashamed. What on earth are you talking about? What do you mean "Apple doesn't make a single cent less" and that it's "Apple's higher prices". Do you have any idea whatsoever how currency and exchange rates work?
Apple increases the price of Apps in countries where the value of their currency has decreased substantially so that the App developers are able to continue making a comparable amount on the sale of each app as they were prior to the value of the currency decreasing.
Because this results in customers in those countries having to pay more for the app than they were previously there is the potential for this to result in reduced sales. Therefore Apple allows developers to set the price of their apps lower in those countries to ensure sales continue. It's entirely up to the developer if they choose to do this or not. If they do set their app at the lower price tier then yes they make less money on it from each individual sale but so does Apple. What makes you think Apple would still be able to get the same amount of money from each sale when they are just keeping 30% of that sale? Do you understand how % works or is that as baffling to you as currency and foreign markets?
There are some great educational apps on the App store for teaching mathematics. Maybe you should consider investing in a few? Especially if the developer has chosen to make use of the alternate price tier. ;-)

Rumor: Apple to host March 2016 event for new Apple Watch, 4-inch iPhone
My god! No more product updates! Enough is enough. It is getting to the point where people are hesitant to jump in and buy because they worry that in a few months time, there will be a newer one. The excitement is gone. Slow down Apple and focus on making your software better. Spend some time on improving all of the things you start and never really improve.
