Elon Musk asking to be Apple CEO allegedly led to profanity-laced tirade from Tim Cook
“...profanity-laced tirade...”
Are you kidding me? Where’s the tirade? How do you “lace” a nonexistent tirade with only ONE word of profanity? At best, it’s a humorous retort, but it’s probably not even that.
This story, claimed false by both parties that are alleged to have been part of the events, has been turned into a click-bait headline that leads to a piffle of nothingness.
And I had to deal with stupid video popups just to read this baited nothing article. -
NSO Group CEO says law-abiding citizens have 'nothing to be afraid of'
Ah the old authoritarian excuse of “obey and you’ll be fine... (also, don’t question authority or defend those who’ve been abused by the system).”
Authoritarian-financed corporation says you’re fine, but they’re not responsible if you’re not, in fact, fine; after all, they can’t stop their authoritarian customers from “misusing” a spying tool they’ve sold to them for spying purposes.

Developers of free apps seek $200 billion damages, claim Apple restrains trade
Uh, developers of “free apps”? Free as in loaded with ads or in-app purchases? Or were they *actually* free?
I do think Apple have changed from one company to another, and not for the better, but this specific argument of monopoly still doesn’t work. There’s something in there that’s anticompetitive practices, but monopoly isn’t really it. -

Don’t tell me “we” chose this by buying lighter and thinner (flimsier) devices. There was no choice when manufacturers made progressively thinner and lighter machines as each revision came out, with Apple putting on most of the market pressure with their pathological pursuit of thinness. -

What “backdoor” in Messages are you talking about?
