  • Spotify overheats iPhones on iOS 15, rapidly drains battery

Another example of the weaknesses in Apple's beta testing system. Really? Not a single tester used Spotify? Aren't major popular apps automatically tested? I hate to think Apple knew about the problem and maliciously decided not to work with Spotify to fix it. :/
"Work with Spotify"? Um, it's not Apple's job to keep Spotify from sucking. That's kind of a full-time gig for hundreds of people.

The solution here is for Spotify to suck less or just get out of the business. Not to blame Apple.

  • After years of rumors, Apple now has a production prototype iPhone fold

Foldable phones are notoriously fragile.  No chance in hell it could be as durable as a regular model.

Apple seems hell bent on pushing products that few people want of late.
You seem confused. You can't be "hell bent" on something if you haven't even released it yet. There's zero evidence that this will ever be released. And you didn't name any other products which HAVE been released, so one is left with the distinct impression that you're desperately searching for something to bash Apple about without having much real ammunition.

  • Kingston XS2000 4TB External SSD review: Fast enough, but not the best for Apple owners

Samsung T7 wins pretty handily in this market segment, at least for Mac users; it's faster on the Mac (despite the Kingston sporting USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 vs. USB 3.2 Gen 2 on the Samsung) and 4TB costs $250 vs. $308 on Amazon for the Kingston.

  • iPhone fold predicted to launch in late 2026 with no Face ID

This is so laughable I’ve got to wonder if Apple isn’t intentionally “leaking” info to Kuo’s sources just to prank him.

“No Face ID” because of “lack of space” in a larger device should be the tell that this is complete and utter nonsense.
It's not laughable, you just don't know what you're talking about. The lack of space being referred to is not height or width; it's depth. The Face ID sensor is likely too thick to fit into the width of half of a sandwich-phone. Similarly, this is why camera bumps exist.

Upon its introduction, this appears to be a class-action lawsuit. Consider the current foldable phones being sold; there is hardly any discussion about their failure rates. However, once Apple’s version is released, every weakness of a folding phone will be extensively, reinforced and covered ad nauseam, Jerryrigged and iFixit will quickly create YouTube videos highlighting these issues, as will every other Tom, Dick, and Harry.

To date, the current manufacturers of folding phones have enjoyed a relatively favorable position regarding the durability of the crease (the elephant in the room). However, this will not be Apple’s fate. Lawyers lineup.

They essentially dismiss the long-range problems. They will not do that with Apple. Note that the article only has five lightweight responses.

This isn't how this will play out. Apple won't ship this, because it's a stupid, ugly product with no raison d'être and a lot of reasons to not ship it. Then, after that, zero lawyers will line up and proceed to do nothing, there will be no coverage, no YouTubes, no Toms, no Dicks, and no Harrys.
