Since MagSafe still supports Qi chargers, it will continue to function with any existing Qi charging mats and pucks that a user may already own.
This is not necessarily true. My 12 Pro Max causes errors in multiple vehicles with Qi charging pads. The error messages, accompanying disabled charging, center around the charging systems detecting “objects” that need to be removed. I assume the “objects” are actually the MagSafe magnets. In my case, Apple is blaming Volvo and Ford/Lincoln, while Volvo and Ford/Lincoln blame Apple. All claim to be Qi-compliant.
