Apple Services and the ecosystem of value capture
I really do hope the other writers at AI follow your lead by doing some actual journalism, ie researching the topic at hand, providing context, and directly addressing the commonplace bs that is being circulated about that topic. THAT would be progress! Most AI articles seem to be The Verge leftovers, with less insight than a parsnip could muster. Apple - Jobs - hit on a very particular business model back in the late 90's which revolves around being competitive and attractive. By placing their customers first, us, Apple conducts business unlike anyone else even can, let alone try. There's no way for Apple to gain a serious competitor unless there is a merger of current market players. Very unlikely, though, as all of them are beset against each other despite being labelled as 'partners'. I really do see Apple assuming stronger roles in finance, politics, welfare, education, environmental protection, and international relations, far above and beyond what it has already accomplished, for better or worse. -
Editorial: No Bill Gates, Windows was not iPhone's 'natural' nemesis
In other news, a decrepit old fool takes one last pitiful swing at the spotlight. Unsure how WinCE, and then WiMo could possibly have ever commercially tainted any advancement for Zune/WPh, or the anti-halos of XP/Vista/8, attached to the murder of a once-loved Nordic brand, the old fart stuck to his one successful move: speaking shite. While a certain amount of grave rolling was happening somewhere, it went unnoticed do to the huge amount of eye-rolling which has caused the planet to increase its rotational velocity, which may or may not contribute to climate change. Another report has stated, via unconfirmed sources, that a fat, tasteless shill will present a ‘tell all’ on being cheap! More news at 11! -

Gooligan malware roots 1M Android phones in "largest Google account breach to date"
Hahahaha - suck it up, goog!
So glad all those paid- and/or hatred jerks convinced so many that Apple was evil/failing/not to be trusted. Goog really is eating its own dog food now. All those people mislead by the stigma promulgated against the walled garden of iOS can more thoroughly experience the benefits of a pseudo-open operating system.
And good luck to em! -
British MP urges schools to confiscate iPads, says children use tablet to bully
Who pays for/plays with that MP? AI ought to do some background on that asshole, rather than perpetrate his lame shite story, yes? -

Apple services stand out as bright spot in otherwise rough Q2
The honeymoon is over. Now we will see how many people stay with smartphones as a technology going forward. -
Apple investigation of employee-led photo sharing ring finds no purloined customer data
If I were Apple mgmt, I'd shut down the entire store.
And maybe give it Samsung with a year's free rent.
And hand each of those jerks to the police after deleting their Apple ID's.
And post their faces and addresses online.
Stupid jerks need to be publicly outed and made an example of.
Australia is fast becoming a bigger shit-hole than the US.
