Review: Logitech's Circle 2 Wired is the best camera with Apple's HomeKit - for now
Well I would like to agree with your four out of five rating, as a customer owning three of these, and having returned a wire free unit because of its unreliability, I have to disagree with you. I have found the cameras to be highly unreliable, with dreadful Wi-Fi picking up capabilities, even one or 2 meters from my router, it only shows two bars of signal. I have had to implement additional Wi-Fi routers in the house just to cover a standard size house with cameras attached to the outside walls. The cost of implementation is astonishing. I have found that the responsiveness of the camera and their online service is dreadful, and we as a collective of users, based on the forums, I’ve found a platter of issues from being unable to reset the camera, to just simply being frustrating to work with. The biggest problem, however, is the fact that they frequently go off-line without any hope of recovery without a power cycle. After several trips away from home, I have on several occasions had to make do with cameras being off-line permanently, thus negating their usefulness. This is not a security device, but more hobby for them at this point, until they update or improve their firmware. On paper, perfect. In reality, frustrating as hell. Just search the forums on the community site for other people who are facing similar frustrations. -
