'Ted Lasso' season 4 to focus on the formation of AFC Richmond's women's team
hodar said:Does anyone really care about Women's Soccer?
Many of the people who watched and enjoyed Ted Lasso really don't care about men's soccer either. Could have been any sport.

Apple now lets you transfer purchases from one Apple Account to another
hobs said:While I can understand the decision behind Family Sharing having to b disabled , that’s a major setback. Also don’t understand the limitation behind this feature not available in certain countries or why the accounts to be in the same country, which is exactly my case (they are in different countries).About this last point I’ve always wondered what happens if I change the country of my Apple account that is currently used for iCloud services but that also held previous app purchases. For people that change country of residence frequently it’s quite a mess.
It seems family sharing can be turned back on wen you're done with the migration.

Mastercard may be in for a fight to stay Apple Card network provider
lordjohnwhorfin said:AmEx lost the plot years ago. They thought they had a business, turns out it was Costco keeping them afloat. You can’t pay with AmEx in most places, nobody wants that stupid card. I hope Apple switches to Visa so I can use it at Costco. -

Consumers stick to the edges of Apple's 'good, better, best' iPad pricing philosophy
"That's the highest share the basic model has seen in five years, possibly pointing to a more cost-conscious wave of buyers."I think the later comment about the iPad being "good enough" for casual users is a big thing too.Personally, I jumped on the first 9.7" Pro when it was released. I was upgrading from an iPad 2, and found the price point acceptable and liked the upgrades it brought from the standard model. Fast forward to late 2024 and the 9.7" Pro was getting a bit long in the tooth. I debated between the 10th gen and an iPad Air, but ultimately chose the 10th gen. Based on how I use my iPad, I couldn't justify the price difference. Especially, since I bought it at Target during some ridiculous promotion. I absolutely would have spent the extra dollars had I perceived a real benefit for the way I use it. I also did tell myself, that based on the deal, I would be happy to pass it along to a family member if I did need to upgrade. To this point, I have not felt the need. -
