  • Android creator Andy Rubin plans AI-equipped smartphone with edge-to-edge display, ceramic...

More competition Apple! While I like my Apple products, and own stock I see them falling behind, I call Siri a dump b**** all the time, fire up google, ask it, get the answer pow! Same thing with the maps! Come on Apple, yes you have some great equipment and OS, BUT, others are further ahead in many aspects! As an Apple equipment owner,(Phone,iPad Pro,iMac) and a company stock holder I say get on the stick and now!!! Some of the rumors for the fall release of the new 'aniversary' iPhone is old news stuff,, wireless charging, no bezel,,, others have had this for at least two years now!!!!

  • Apple weighing legal action against Trump immigration ban, to match employee donations to ...

It is a sad dark day in our great history of this country when the companies have to consider filing suit against an action taken by a person that somehow got into the position of our leader, which was NOT elected by the people but put into the position by a government arm. I was going to continue with factual history but decided this was not the place for that. I'm sure that Mr. Cook is very troubled over how this administration has started out and the trouble that it is going to cause for us in the US and the world.. Oh, and by the way, I already believe that this nation IS GREAT!

  • Google Assistant arrives on the iPad, but still isn't going to replace Siri soon

While I like my Apple products, Siri is THE WORST thing about them! 90% of the time I call her a dumb b***** because never a correct answer not even close unless it is a SIMPLE thing like a reminder or a measurement conversion, I can ask the same questions that Siri can't get to the google app and EVERYTIME I get a correct answer!! Plenty of fan kiddos on here badmouthing the google assistant but I've always found it much better than Siri, and that goes for the map application too.

I love Macs and have had one at home for 25+ year. But, I rely on Excel a lot at work and Excel just sucks on a Mac, and it's just not worth emulating it when I can just use a cheap W10 machine.
</blockquote I’ve always found that Excel itself sucks, open office products work great on Macs if you don’t want to use the Apple Numbers, both will bring in Excel files and generate on the output side Excel files I do believe. One of the major reasons I always disliked Excel is that MS has the need to swizzle it all around every new release and you always have to hunt for where they moved or ‘hid’ things....

I'm very curious as to who the hell is buying Galaxy Notes and what they use them for. Never seen one in the wild. I would personally enjoy Apple Pencil support on an iPhone, but I don't complain because it's unbelievably niche… but the Note line has been going for years now, someone is buying these.
I DID! Instead of another iPhone last year that I thought was ridiculously over priced I purchased a Note9, and I love it, it blows the iPhone away with features. A very nice piece of equipment, the screen, processor, and Storage!! Just pop in an inexpensive micro sd and tons more storage! Without paying a rediculous price for a phone with more storage... Yes I still use my iPad Pro, my iMac, and like them, but just thought the note was a nicer phone... Would I buy another Note? Yes....

  • Grocer Kroger launches QR code-based payment service, snubs Apple Pay

Never liked Kroger and “their card”!!!! Walmart never asks me for a stinking card to get pricing! little do people know they sell that info to marketing companies and anyone else that comes along. I read an article years ago about those loyalty cards, it talked about the grocers selling your info to health insurance companies so that then they could tell you your eating the wrong foods so your premium will be increased! Don’t think it could happen? Think again!!!!!!!

  • Samsung's new Galaxy Note 7 largely incremental, except for iris scanner

While I have all apple equipment, and of course stock,,, what I see is Apple falling seriously behind on their phone releases.. Silly things like when should I go to sleep based on when I woke up! Give me a break, silly sh**. In fairness, compare the new galaxies against the now aging iPhone, if your honest, the reaction would be, 'what's apple doing, sleeping, no wonder they are loosing high end market share! Come on Apple, the rumor mill says but wait till next year,,, then next year you will be trying to catch back up! Hum,,, those making fun of the iris scanning capabilities here,,, what were you saying a week or so ago when the rumor mill was building up Apple "MAY" come out with this in a few years???? Being from a manufacturing background and in IT, what I truly see is Apple lagging behind and being left in the dust on this equipment! I'm sure all the fanboys will be working their fingers hard at rebuking and picking this post apart, but this is what I and a lot of the others are seeing happening currently....
  • 'Next-generation' Apple Store opens in Memphis with custom 37-foot display

To me this looks like something out of the 60's or 70's,, so not Apple, so not an Apple Store, and no Apple logo! Apple seems to be falling into other companies habits of trying to change something that is a total winner for something better or just for the sake of change and coming out with much LESS than what they already have... This store is to me is a total let down...
