  • FCC votes to undo net neutrality protections despite public protests

Massively naive to think the providers won’t use this to make more money by restricting services. It will be very difficult to track what they actually do.  They didn’t spend masses of dough on the lobbying to bring sweetness and light to the world, they spent masses of dough on lobbying to bring sweetness and light to their world.  I look forward to the CEOs retiring in greater comfort. Dohh!

  • Apple, Google reportedly at odds with UK NHS over centralized contact tracing

The whole idea of tracking possibly infected people is appalling.   It doesn't matter if it is Apple or some government, nothing good will come for this.   Beyond that I really believe that governments in general have gone absolutely nuts with their response to the Wuhan virus.   In simple terms the rights of a few are being given excess sway over the population in general.   The few here being the medical profession that wants the lock down to make their life a bit easier.
Well you win my prize for dumbest post on this thread. The medical profession wants the lock down to make their life a bit easier. Dear me. Give your head a shake and have a look at yourself.

  • Scrivener for iOS update delivers small but strong improvements

Scrivener is absolutely magic. I'm writing a book which has been up to 90,000 words and edited back to 60,000 with much shuffling of chapters and sub chapters.  Research all in the scrivener file and footnoting as I go.  Just imagine managing a word document this size ... exactly.  Utterly wonderful piece of kit  B

Oh and PS I am using pictures created in Keynote and captured as jpegs, scrivener handles them fantastically giving me simple options to re-size and centre if I want.
