  • IKEA expanding HomeKit lineup with new smart plugs in October

Apple customers don't usually buy downscale junk like Ikea. Android users are more their ilk.
I have them throughout my home, they integrate seamlessly with HomeKit, work like a charm, and are affordable. Where’s the loss? That Apple snobbery really has to stop guys.

  • Ikea's Tradfri line is a good and inexpensive gateway to Apple's HomeKit system

Speaking as a person that actually owns and uses Trådfri, with HomePod as a hub, I literally feel like Jean Luc Picard on the Enterprise. Siri, do this, that and the other. More importantly, through HomeKit, time of day integrations and actions just work via Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad. Config was straightforward for me. And best of all its the most affordable lighting system on the market. So if it didn’t work or was a dud, no big deal because I didn’t invest a lot in it.

As far as the “Not responding” issue, I’ve only seen that when the router went down, and a simple power cycle of the gateway fixed those issues immediately.

  • Wells Fargo cuts Apple price target as stock hovers just above $100

please stop. If no one can see this speculation and sell off is merely the work of hedge fund managers, i have no idea what you will see. Even Kramer has said in the past that when he ran his hedge, whenever he needed a quick uptick in profits, get someone to float bad news about Apple. That would move the meter and he and other folks hedging Apple lower would make a ton. Yet it plays out every earning season, people sell on fear, hedgers get rich, and when the price is low enough they buy again. Wash rinse repeat. And every earnings period, people act like they have never seen the same behavior before. Sad.

  • Video review: eero mesh Wi-Fi system is perfect for large homes, but max speed is an issue...

I just bought the Orbi. And let me tell you good people, on a wireless iMac 5K w/a 150Mbps Xfinity connection, from Florida to Georgia, just oh my goodness!

  • Apple's new podcast metadata rules ban episode numbers, threaten removal [u: episode numbe...

If I may, maybe this would stand as an example of why. They have the metadata fields ready to go and the OS’s and applications are primed and ready to use them. Now if we could just get the creatives to take advantage of them, life would be easier for all.

  • Mac, iOS versions of Safari crashing due to search suggestions feature [u]

Yeah, as if Cook himself personally is responsible for solving the bug...

Anyways, you can also just enter your search term in the spotlight(?) screen, when you swipe down or left on the home screen, and then select 'search on web'..
Yes Cook is responsible ultimately. He is the CEO.

Problem is this is not an isolated occurence.  iOS/OSX and Apple Apps and services have experienced way more bugs since the Steve Jobs days.

Apple Music deleting playlists and files
iPad Pro crashing when being charged
    Safari problems
    Maps debacle
AppleTV having no keyboard/Remote App support
    iTunes a total dumpster fire.

The list goes on and on. The farther we get away from Jobs the more confusing, cluttered, and bug infested Apple services is becoming.
Thank you so much!  After the day i have had i needed a strong laugh.  I guess antenna gate, cracks in the G4 Cube, as others have stated MobileMe, iPod Hi-Fi didn't happen under Jobs watch either huh?  When we fail to acknowledge the failure in others, we become the failure.

Does Dre look like a gangster?
If he didn't, wouldn't that hurt his brand's image?
