Surprised so much endorsement for the nest products.  There have been numerous reports of the Thermostats failing, leaving owners without heat.  The Smoke detectors were recalled in 2015, and had reports of repeatedly losing the wifi signal.  And the Cam has had lots of issues including bad support

Nice idea, like some have said way too pricey, $200 top (in my option).  Additionally the diagnostic port, is seeing a lot of demand the days, insurance companies have monitoring devices that use these, plus remote access devices.

Yes and u can backup off site to friends or families PC or Macs, for free too ( its encrypted so friends can't see what you backed up).  I do use their online service, but additionally all PCs we own and the kids at college also backs up to a pc here at home

What will Trump industries have to do to comply?  Nothing they sell is made here.  Even their buildings use chinese steel, whats his plan on converting his own companies to dominic production?

I love my MacBook air, but I'm sorry I think this is a lossy way to introduce the USB C port.  it would have added very little costs to include one or 2 USB-A style ports.  To allow users to gradually replace peripheral devices with USB-C style ones.  Now just to get data from someone on a USB Drive you'll need an adapter.  As most computers remain with USB-A style plugs, the market will continue to provide USB-A devices primarily, USB-C will be expensive for the foreseeable future.
