What makes anybody assume Apple will provide App Store services for free? They have, in some countries, charged fees of 27% for developers using alternative payment processing. Plus the cost of audit and compliance. Not worth it.

Yeah, lots of serious development is done in Visual Studio. It's the preeminent IDE for windows. It's got a lot of good features and is many ways is far ahead of other IDEs (Xcode, Android Studios, Eclipse etc).

Did you all miss that those are RENTAL prices... that's crazy.

It appears that their website was hijacked and replaced with an HTTP version, with the infected file offered for download on the bogus site. 

The issue appears to be that the hackers used the legitimate signing certificate. So the developers private key was compromised. 

VW are a bunch of liars and cheats. I hope they go out of business. Apple should stay far away from them as I know I will in the future.
