Have used Sonos for a decade.  Went through the changeover from software 1 to software 2, which left my Sonos 5 unable to upgrade.  Now they are coming out with these new guys.  If they leave me behind again I will not purchase anything from them again.  The audio is excellent from the Sonos, and the software outstanding.  Pairing for stereo or surround sound is easy, and the sound extraordinary.
The price points for Sonos are burdensome.  I think Sonos is worth it, but I am a 66 yo brought up on the Stones, Cream, and The Allman Brothers.  Great speakers are necessary for that beautiful work.
