Apple's mobile Safari & Apple TV products see increased pressure in 2015, Adobe study says
I suspect that Apple isn't focused on 4K because online video doesn't consistently stream at that rate yet. I still get occasional lag on lower resolution YouTube and Netflix streams. Not to mention the fact that streamed video is compressed so a lot of the 4K detail is lost. Apple has a successful history of focusing on the user experience rather than blindly fighting spec wars with their competitors.
