Twelve years later, Apple is still trying to erase mac.com email addresses
I still actively use my .mac address. In fact, I was so early doors with iTools that my email is simply my first name, just four letters, before @mac.com. I still also log in to my iCloud account with my .mac.I have noticed though, as the article suggests, that I periodically need to revert some settings to my .mac address from iCloud after the odd iOS updates. I definitely get the feeling I’m being pushed.
But I’ll never give it up willingly! -
Review: 'Mario Kart Tour' on the iPhone and iPad falls short on nearly every front
Couldn’t agree more with this review. As a Nintendo fan, I’m so disappointed by the approach they have taken with such a hallowed title. Not just the horrible control mechanics but the monetisation strategy. Personally, I was incredible confused by the menu screens. The constant push to in app purchases makes for fit inducing busy UI that left me entirely confused as to what I was supposed to be doing. And the €5 a month subscription offer - are you kidding me Nintendo? €5 for what exactly? Nintendo should be embarrassed by the quality of this game and the monetisation strategy.I tried Apple Arcade and immediately installed Sonic Racers. Infinitely more fun and kart control so much better. -
EU will order Ireland to collect over $1B in back taxes from Apple - report
A lot of anti-EU nonsense from a lot of people here who clearly don't have a clue what the EU is. Ireland benefits greatly from membership. It's not a perfect union but it's been, on the whole, a hugely positive influence across Europe. Any talk of it crumbling shows total ignorance. The EU has laws designed to ensure member nations do not unfairly single out a particular company for special tax incentives. The EU has no law against tax incentives – just anti-competitive arrangements. They have deemed Apple's arrangement in Ireland anti-competition.
