Why Apple's smart home speaker dreams are still falling short
We have both HomePods and Amazon echo.I’m so tired of hearing from Siri, “I found a result on the Internet, I can send it to your phone if you’d like.” When I ask Alexa the same question, she answers the question almost immediately. Make no mistake, I love my Apple products, but at least until recently Siri has been hugely lacking. I suspect that’s one reason why so many of us use Amazon or Google for our smart device devices. -

Apple, Amazon, Google, Zigbee Alliance networking protocol on track for 2021 release
22july2013 said:I don't think I trust Zigbee anymore. My 17 Hue devices, mostly bulbs, use Zigbee's protocol. Every morning all my devices work, but as they day goes on more and more are "not responding" and when I try to ask Siri to turn off all the lights, sometimes as many as 14 of 17 lights aren't responding. I'm desperate to find something that works because I love HomeKit/Siri... when it works. Any suggestions? I'm guessing it's interference from the neighbors in my building. Or it could be my Hue Bridge failing, which I've rebooted and that doesn't change anything. How robust is your Wi-Fi. Do you need or use a mesh Wi-Fi?We originally split our mesh Wi-Fi into two separate channels but found some devices with continually disconnect. When we set up our Wi-Fi with one single channel it allowed 2.4 and 5 GHz to respectively connect to the appropriate channel in this solved a lot of connectivity issues in our home.

US fights Canada over new tech tax that could cost Apple billions
rob53 said:Maybe it's about time the USA starts charging Canadian "visitors" every time they come across the border to buy gas and groceries at a big discount over Canadian prices. Check the Costco gas station in Bellingham, WA, and see how many cars with BC plates are there. Let's also start charging taxes or tariffs on semi truck trailers having free rein on USA highways. And by the way, the gas some of my neighbours purchase south of the boarder comes from Canadian oil which is then refined at Arco BP refinery near Birch Bay, WA. and then shipped north to sell back to us.Canadians are America’s’ best friends. Sorry we hurt your feelings. -
Apple confirms that Apple Intelligence Siri features are taking longer than expected
I’m a huge Apple fan, but Siri drives me crazySorry I can’t handle multiple requests at once.. ask exactly the same request and it works.I tried to use image playground again. It was working before but now I get an error message saying that Siri and my iPhone must use the same language. Currently your iPhone is English Canada and Siri is set for English Canada, lol -
