When they are plugged, in they use USB. Bluetooth is disabled.

Strange. I just purchased a USB-C Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad and it has the “fn” on the Globe key. Which is different than what Apple has on their store picture. It makes sense to have the “fn” on the key. It’s on the new M4 MacBook Pro keyboards.
