  • Apple to replace cracked screens on select aluminum Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 mode...

My watch had this issue start nearly 2 years ago. I’ve never bashed it against anything.

when the swollen battery issue came out, I took it to Apple. They took it away and eventually came back with some internal photos which “proved” it was caused by accidental damage and refused to repair it. I had no way of arguing the contrary.

i’ve been living with the crack ever since. See attached photo.

The path the crack has taken alway seemed suspect to me. Following the exact edge of the screen.

  • Files app gets much better thanks to iPadOS 15

I use outlook for iPad and one drive to store documents. When multitasking side by side on iPad, I cannot drag a file from an email in outlook to the one drive app (or the files app with a one drive location favourited). The ONLY was I can save a document from email to one drive is for it to go into a default folder the all docs go into. If I put them in there, I then cannot even move them on the iPad to the relevant client folder in one drive.

it is absolutely impossible to move a document from an outlook email to a specific one drive folder. I’ve tried all work arounds.

will this new drag and drop feature solve this. I hope so!!!

  • Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad order delays fuel speculation about new model for iMac ...

Surprised they will update it that quick. Took long enough to release one, that if they had an update in the pipeline, you’d imagine they’d have waited less than 6 months.

numberpads are a must when working in finance or numeric data entry. 3 to 4 times faster probably. They’ll be plenty of people who need one.

  • iPad Pro 'final design mockup' shown with iPhone 11 Pro triple camera bump

Funny timing for me. I have personally always thought people using iPads for photos looked ridiculous and made me chuckle every time. but...

I’m at Disneyland Paris with my family and this very day, I woke up to my iPhone X on 1% battery. (Before you say it, we’d left the bag with the portable battery packs at home - Doh)

I was left with no choice. If I wanted some photos of my daughter going crazy with excitement when she saw her favourite characters. I had to use my iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Gen to take the snaps.

after about an hour of cringing at myself, I got over it and went with it. Worked quite well to be honest.

I’ll unlikely ever do it again, and I was literally the only one doing it. But I’m glad I got the pics

  • Sonos reveals which of its speakers will get AirPlay 2 support

So everyone with the playbar and surround set up won’t be able to use it on Airplay 2 (with the sub). That is rather a bad move I think.

I can’t get a playbase as I don’t have a table to put it on. TV is mounted on the wall, probably the same as 75% of people. That rules out the whole system being updated to Airplay 2 for me. As a result of that, I’ll likely not get anymore Sonos as their is no point anymore.

id rather spend the extra on more HomePod’s than get any of the One’s. No chance I want Alexa around (I know you can turn it off).

Sonos - if you’re listening. Stick Airplay in all your speakers, and more people will buy your speakers.

i know you can play more sources through Sonos, but it’s not easy to find what you want outside of Sonos app. So no streaming from BBC radio app for example. Just doesn’t works.

even though people say HomePod is limited, you can just play whatever the hell you like through airplay from the iPhone. Now that beats the Sonos app every single time and not restricted whatsoever.
