    Actually, I believe it is still a disk. It has been my understanding that the spelling "disk" is used for magnetic media (which includes floppies.) "Disc", on the other hand, is reserved for optical media. At least, that is the usage I have seen here in the US.

    Sure it "wows"...until you experience a power failure in the middle of a software update (or other "certain circumstances" that Apple does not specify), and it becomes a paperweight until you have another Mac with High Sierra to perform the reset required by the T2 chip. I can't believe that didn't at least make the "con" list. It's a deal-breaker for me, even if I could afford it.

    And here I thought an app was always automatically quit before being updated. Guess not! That explains why I never saw the option until following the instructions provided by Tuubor.
