    And corporations are?  With no government, it would be the groups with the most money who hold the power.  At least in a democratic society, one gets to vote for government and there's a certain level of transparency in their operations.  Not so for corporations.
    No, @georgie01 didn't say corporations are altruistic. However in a free capitalist society people do get to vote for or against corporations with their wallets. Whether that’s through wall street or simply consuming the product. I would argue money talks a lot louder then voting. That’s why almost all politicians are owned by the lobbyists.
