Yes, you’re missing that it’s only $79, compared to the $129 of the 2nd gen. You get to choose, it’s not replacing the 2nd gen.

The last sentence is what will seriously hamper this product.

I always see the value of new Apple when others usually don’t.  When everyone was crying over the iPad being an oversized iPhone I could see exactly what it could become.

This WOULD excite me.  But doesn’t.

YES!  It seems to have done!  Thank god!  

However, if another big Apple site is to be believed you have left out a crucial bit of information that exonerates the user slightly.

In that he contacted Apple on their supplied email address, but they had spelt the address wrong.  They also sent him multiple emails about an iPhone, when it was a Mac.

not saying he wasn’t to blame but if you read the article on the other Apple site it does make Apple look partly to blame too.

I gave up reading at the point you tested all this with a bloody YouTube clip!

It also helps if the police care.  My 85 year old dad got mugged at Luton airport in the UK and his iPad pro was stolen.  Using “find my” we knew EXACTLY which house and address the device was in but the police said that “find my” was “not reliable” and refused to go get it back.

trouble is for some reason apple don’t sell HomePods of any kind in the UAE so I’ll have to import;  When I get them, my existing HomePod Gen 1 stereo pair can go in the bedroom and my mini stereo pair in the kitchen.
