I have had an orbi system for several months, and suffice to say, NetGear has a real problem getting reliable firmware out the door. See for yourself on their forum. Many promised features are still missing, performance is generally unreliable, and hardware factory resets are usually required with each update. Getting more than one satellite to connect to the router is difficult, and actually meshing to a second satellite is nearly impossible. Until you see some successful set-ups in their forum, stay away.
