'iPhone SE 2' uses new flexible LCP antenna design claims Ming-Chi Kuo
Ecky-Thump said:Why would Appke introduce another phone of iPhone 8 dimensions, it doesn’t make sense. If there is an SE2 then it will be iPhone 5 sized, but with edge to edge display and will look gorgeous.
its all about costs. This antenna sounds, both, better and cheaper. That’s why it’s a possible update.
A redesigned 5 chassis will never happen. It’s off the factory floor for good. -
'iPhone SE 2' with A13 will cost $399 says Ming-Chi Kuo
It’s a binned parts phone. Anyone that purchased it because they wanted a small screen was merely a crossover.A fleet phone, no R&D, used parts, old chassis, and binned modern chips to ensure years of support.
Just because some posters purchased it specifically for the small size doesn’t mean that’s what the se was thrown on the market for, Apple was just lucky to get your crossover business. -
These are the best iPhone 16e cases that add MagSafe back
AppleZulu said:Keep in mind that the cases will allow you to use a MagSafe charger, but you're still going to be charging at 7.5 watts, not at 25 watts as you would if the phone actually had MagSafe built in. -
Apple could have sold me an iPhone SE 4, but it won't sell me the iPhone 16e
I am pretty sure there was an Apple employee quoted that the ‘e’ stands for ‘essentials’. A phone that has the core of the current phone models’ capabilities.
Taking a step back, what do people think are the most important things to have on a phone? Time and time again, the factors affecting the majority of phone users when they want/need to upgrade are battery, camera, security, and performance. The 16e is purpose built for each of these factors. It has the best battery life of a standard sized iPhone, the best individual camera they wish to put into their phone, and the latest processor to assure the phone receives the most security updates while still maintaining performance. That’s what this iPhone essentials is.
