  • Apple has its own social networking services, but won't call them that

I the ideas this article opens up. Typically, people think that the alternative to existing social networking platforms must be some other platform. But instead of having to spend all your time with a website/platform for your "social networking," we can image how we can be more social with those we care about and those we want to interact with more by sharing different things as the inspiration arises while we're going about our day-to-day using the apps we use—for example, sharing a photo while we're in the photos app, suggesting an article from the news app, competing in a game, watching a video together, etc. It would be interesting to see how Apple could improve on the user interface in subtle ways to make this kind of sharing more integrated throughout the (non-"social networking") apps we already use throughout our lives.
