  • Apple Card users having problems with making payments

I made a forum post early this morning about this issue. I have made previous payments with no issue. However today I paid through my iphone the full balance and it went like always. select full amount, submit, click side of phone twice, it then does facial recognition, a sound of a ding plays and normally there is a payment notification.

This morning no notification of payment received so I just did the payment again. Now again no notification and no balance decrease showing.
I contacted apple/Goldman and was on chat for over 1 hour 10 minutes and on the phone 1 hour 20 minutes and that does not count the delays and transfers etc.
a manager stated I can see both payments and kept apologizing for the issue. I said if you see them just remove one. She said another department does that work and they are really bogged down because of others having the same issues.

She said they will do an internal dispute and put the second payment back in your account. so they just cannot remove payments as someone said. she was saying 3-5 business days.

I contacted my CU and they said they will block applecard/Goldmansachs from getting any monies. Now the manager at GS said tell them how much my CU charged me to stop payment and they will reimburse me. so not only is the customers service inconsistent they just put you off. so for a mistake on their end, they want the card payer to jump through hoops.

Told my wife not to pay hers until this is all sorted out. Oh the card still posts immediate charges like it always did, not payments. Not good.

  • Taiwanese group says Apple harms consumers by not including charger with iPhone

The issue here as I read last evening was "If a person purchased a new iphone when they never bought one before" would not have the charger, but just a USB-C cable and not a charger from iPhone 12 which is also different than all the other chargers previous to it. I note that in the iPad Pro the charging cable is different than iPads previous.
So yes a consumer may have chargers and cables just lying around but the iPhone 13 as the previous iPhone 12 does not use the standard cable nor charger brick.

So yes include it in the newer products instead of having to buy the $19 charging brick or as many sites have suggested to lower the price on the devices so as to have a customer opt for it to be included or not.

And then there must be an adapter purchased in or to connect to CarPlay since it does not connect via a USB-C cable but a standard USB connection. Cars may include the capability in the future but many cars do not have that connectivity not operate as a wireless CarPlay device.

  • Apple adding new fraud prevention features to Apple Pay, Apple Wallet

It popped up yesterday 4/20/22 on my wallet for a visa I had on the apple pay. But as others have stated "Why just visa"? The Apple Card is Mastercard but I believe it has security features built in. As I believe most credit cards do.

  • Early AirPods Max order begin to arrive, some Apple Stores will have stock on hand

Yep Just received them a little while ago. With tax it was a few dollars shy of $600 but if my wife wants them she gets them. Being a household of various apple products I am sure they will make her happy.

Ha ha amazingly I originally went towards the titanium but I opted for the blue. Delivery on the 22nd.for mine. However I ordered the iPhone titanium color for my wife. I should have stuck to my first choice and bought two the same color. Now I have to go to the apple store on the 22nd. to pick my wife's up along with her new apple watch 9 and then wait for my delivery.
