Well, at least there's a silver lining in this project's failure for Illinois residents along the Fox and Des Plaines rivers. The spring and summer flooding problems would be a lot worse with more paved areas upstream along with water diverted from Lake Michigan. 

And, while building the factory complex might have provided jobs for some Northeastern Illinois contractors, it's likely that very few of the factory employees would choose to buy or rent in Illinois given our stunningly high taxes.
