  • TP-Link Deco BE5000 review: whole-home mesh Wi-Fi 7 on a budget

The review seems woefully incomplete without mentioning the lack of 6Ghz support.   Looks like a great product otherwise, but that’s something that surely should be pointed out for a review of a network product?

    Otherwise, good review, pretty kitty.

  • Review: Linksys Velop Wi-Fi 6 mesh router provides the best speeds for your iPhone 11

If you were only getting 100Mb/s on your 3 x 3 ac deployment there was very obviously something wrong with that test.   Clearly the comparison is wrong, you won’t be getting 8x performance.

I could have spelled that out more directly, but it's not really a problem. Short-range high speed is such a niche need that I'm not sure how much a difference it could really make. Everything within range of 6GHz is wired in my home, so it didn't affect me either way. I suspect that's the case for most.

Besides, it's $250 right now. The people shopping for it will get excellent Wi-Fi and probably don't even know 6GHz exists, let alone benefit from it. The people that know and want it will upgrade to a higher tier.

Great value for $250.   But the biggest challenge with 6Ghz is (IMO) the shorter range, and so mesh has a natural benefit there, as long as there is  decent backhaul between nodes.

Anyway, not trying to nitpick, and thanks for posting.
