I am on the phone with Apple support right now asking them to refund the repair cost that I paid for this issue in June...
They tell me they will refund it

Probably incorrect cooling during manufacture that left stress in the glass. Makes it more likely to crack.eriamjh said:This defect is related to screen manufacturing. Too thin around the curve, maybe.
