Apple confirms customers unable to pick up Apple Store repairs until outlets reopen
I have a similar situation, as my 6 month old iPhone 11 would not charge past 70%. I drove an hour to the closest Apple store where they tried to replace the battery and the phone completely shut down. They said it would need a new logic board, and therefore would replace the phone. They of course had none in stock and said they would ship a new phone in about two weeks. They gave me a loaner iPhone 8 to take with me A few days later I received an email they were going to repair my phone. The loaner phone also would not keep a charge longer than 4 hours, and during this time the stores shut down. I have made numerous calls about getting my phone back. I never authorized them to repair my phone to begin with, I was told by the store manager it was going to be replaced. They also will not ship it back to me since I have their crappy loaner phone. I have since had to pay off my old phone and buy a new one since I need my phone for work. I am so frustrated and cannot believe Apple could not find a better solution and take care of its customers. I have no other options and extremely frustrated
