Not sure what Apple is trying to say with this ad. Definitely they are trying to be politically correct. And please someone. That’s with all the advt. these days in the media.
What’s politically correct about it? Lol what a strange world you live in
We all live in a strange world right now.

If this is the future of Apple Ad's, then we are definitely in a sad place. I would be surprised it this ad resonated with many people. Fans of Whack will appreciate seeing her - for sure - but I doubt anyone will say this add motivated them to buy a HomePod mini.

I miss when tech news wasn’t so political. And that’s not a criticism of the writers and editors of this site. All of this specific political news is also very relevant Apple news. If you are covering Apple news, this is what you need to write about in 2025. 100% understandable.

Is it really *that* relevant to Apple News? No, tis is just another butt hurt journalist using whatever platform they have to express their opinion by using selective quotes and snippets of information. If these 'journalist' were truly interested in the truth we would have seen an awful lot of press about how DEI programs are destroying programming integrity and security of our applications. How it has directly  contributed to the shitload of failures at Apple and other tech companies because they want 'diverse opinions' instead of world class talent. Apple products are now plagued by quality issues at a significantly higher rate than under Steve or the first few years of Tim's reign. And under Steve - Apple was still a very diverse company, it was just the brightest minds regardless of identity and racial politics not because of them.

So, before appleinsider continues alienating a large swath their reader base I would urge them to dial down the rhetoric and abstain from politics (it's not your lane). Get back to focusing on the TECHNOLOGY and the COMPANY that we all love and are passionate about and let the other 'journalist' pander political drivel and divisive reporting.
