Choosing E-GMP as basis for their own car wouldn‘t be the worst option. According to industry experts Hyundai Motor Group build a state of the art platform with quite ambitious global sales targets. But it makes me wonder, how Apple will successfully compete with e.g. the first model based on this platform to be released this month? It‘s called IONIQ 5 and including not only sophisticated and innovative features, but also has a very distinctive high end design competing in the mass segment: teaser info including pictures has been published recently and according to initial reception in social media this could be a game changer. In some sense I can understand the doubts raised by Hyundai Management regarding becoming the foxconn of auto industry instead of looking forward to reap investment by having an excellent competitor in the BEV market... just my 2 cents ;-)
