  • Apple's iPhone water resistance has a big catch, claims new lawsuit

The warranty for Samsung Galaxy phones works the same way. Exposure to water isn't considered normal use under the warranty. In other words, it's not a product that is specifically made to operate in water.
AFAIK, all phone manufacturers that advertise water resistance have a warrantee that excludes water damage.

Counter intuitive perhaps, but it is the way it has always been.

To be fair, AppleCare+ (unlike the standard warrantee) does have a clause that states repairs will not exceed $79 for water damage.

  • Some iPhone owners are reporting quick battery drain, but it's not clear why

The article doesn't link to the social media posts mentioned (why?), but did any of these users actually check the Battery page in IOS Settings?  It usually shows the battery usage by application or service (ie. "No mobile coverage").

  • UK eBay and Airbnb sellers could have app sales data sent to tax office

Minor nitpick, but "Her Majesty" should be "His Majesty" in the first paragraph.  Later mention is correct.

  • Stop us if you've heard this before: There's a new Apple Silicon killer in town

If Intel, AMD, or anyone else made a processor that really made Apple Silicon obsolete to such an extent that some other Apple software/hardware/ecosystem advantages were muted, Apple could switch to it.
They could, but I very much doubt they would.  They would lose the control they have by architecting their own chip designs, and the cost savings from sharing such chips across all product families (phone, tablet, laptop, desktop)

  • Trump has a problem with Tim Cook, because Foxconn is building factories in India

The fact that Trump has to be "handled", says it all.

  • How to use your iPhone's satellite features in an emergency

Might be worth mentioning that Messages with Satellite is only available in the US & Canada.

Emergency SOS is available in other countries however.

As an Apple site, why no mention Apple and their iPad  commercial crushing all the humanity out of art and music into computer generated art?

Maybe because — that is just one interpretation? Apple likely intended it to be a fun way to show "condensing a full stage into your device", which is a different interpretation. In any form of art, interpretation is a huge aspect, and yet the loudest group tends to win over in the end. It's a shame because it was a fun commercial.
Indeed, a storm in a teacup.

  • iPhone 15 Pro Max review six months later: Still an exciting upgrade

"It's a phone with a price tag above a thousand dollars and yet it gets marred by just debris in your pocket."

I think you know the answer to this problem: don't keep other crap in your pocket along with the phone.  I have an iPhone 13 Pro that is approaching two years old and has a flawless front screen, even when turned off.  But it has a dedicated pocket that I never keep other stuff in.  I also don't leave it lying around - if its not in my pocket, its on the charger.

    Otherwise, nice article :-)

  • Apple's MagSafe isn't going anywhere

You're probably right. It's sad, because with MagSafe half the electricity gets used to increase the entropy of the universe which raises carbon emissions for no reason. It is slow, it makes the phones bigger and heavier, and hardly anyone uses it. And yet, for so many years the only thing reviewers would say every September was "and it still doesn't have teh wireless chargez!". Apple doesn't want the big story in September to be that, so they will include the wasteful and useless thing.
There's a ridiculous number of false statements in your post. Is that suppose to be parody that is falling flat?
Actually most of the statements are true.  It is less efficient than wired charging, it is slower than wired charging and it does make the phone fractionally heavier (if not bigger).

But I don't agree that hardly anyone uses it - I suspect most people wirelessly charge.
