Apple Vision Pro will get a polish, not an overhaul at WWDC
harrykatsaros said:Am I the only one that thinks that AVP has the most to gain from a a new AI Siri with ChatGPT 4o integration? A conversational UI is the holy grail for a device like the AVP. It would be fundamentally transformative for the AVP form factor and would make it infinitely easier to use and navigate the system and to get things done. For example, “open the Mount Hood environment, start my podcast, set my windows up around the house the way I had them yesterday and then search for that .pdf file I was working off on Friday about new product strategies. Make a spreadsheet and line chart from the projections in it and then email that to Tim. Then set up a FaceTime meeting at 11am and send the call link to my work team. Once that’s done open up a word document and begin taking dictation”.And for the work at the office peeps I'm sure they only have so many "look busy" task they can perform during the day which those examples would cut into greatly. lol

Future Mac Pro may use Apple Silicon & PCI-E GPUs in parallel
I would love to be totally wrong on this, but after thoroughly reading each patent application it looks like these are the patents for how the Ultra chip (two Max chip linked together through infinity fabric) processes graphic task in tandem, and the infinity fabric link which Apple uses to tie both MAX chips together, and has nothing to do with future multiple dGPU support by Apple.Further evidence of this is that the patent file date is for August 2021 and the Ultra chip debuted in March 2022.This doesn’t mean that Apple isn’t working on dGPUs though. And we may very well still see dGPU support come to the new AS MacPros. I just think these patent applications cover the Apple Silicon Ultra’s pair of GPUs talking to each other in tandem. -

Apple gets another App Store antitrust win, this time in China

These companies bitching about the 30% have no clue about the overheads they'd face without the Apple Store. Their solution is easy: leave the Apple Store and find out. It's also right in line with what the other competing platforms and markets charge too.Screw you whiners.I can’t image the old school way of going door to door of small retailers and box stores trying to sell software to a middle man that will take majority of the profit. I feel for you old school guys. -
Apple cites bevy of scared users to back up its case against the EU DMA
That hasn't happened with the official Google Play Store, and there's a multitude of 3rd party stores to choose from.
