It already works in the UK on my phone (a UK model iPhone 12 mini with an EE-based MVNO SIM) by setting the device region to US, and the device/Siri language to English (US) — I think it works by the iPhone answering the call rather than letting it go to the carrier’s voicemail, which is quite nifty. (This doesn’t affect the App Store region)

Just a shame that Apple have for some reason decided not to officially make it available outside of the US, like with Live Captions for media, as both of these are great accessibility features. I’ve left my phone pretending to be US as a result…
