iPhone RCS still isn't widely supported, and is waiting on carriers to act
The list cannot be up to date. I (iPhone, Germany) regularly chat with a friend (Android) in the Netherlands. RCS works like a charm. Even when he was roaming in Germany, RCS was no problem. The day iOS 18 came out I deleted WhatsApp.
