Before I invest in what sounds (excuse the pun) a great item I have been given to understand that they can also act like a moderate hearing aid.  Having had ear surgery but do not require a  hearing system but occasionally, like watching the television or in company it would be very helpful.  Is this correct or is the terminology Transparance Mode or Adaptive Transpanency cover this topic.  This is a great article and great advice to a 75 grey haired old granny.
