I wouldn't quite say that Apple hearing aid feature has gone 'global'
As stated above, it's not in Canada, nor in Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain or most of the EU for that matter.

I was able to test it out when I went on a trip to Malta. For someone like me with mild hearing loss, it works great.
I don't understand how a few provinces in Canada can override the entire country for allowing this feature.
