2021 Apple TV 4K Review: Seeking a blockbuster, given a Band-Aid
IDK, supposedly, by purchasing, I am going to get a year of TV+ @ $5 per month for 12 months, and the remote is well over the top worth $59, especially finally with the mute button, I mean just the mute button!
But this comes down to:
$179 - $60 - $59 = $60? For a Complete new TV 4K+ that will play full frame 60fps? possibly 120fps some day?
I haven't run test yet, but I am thinking this is gonna play games at 4K/60fps instead of 4K/30fps too.
This is for actually Apple Coded Games, not "ported games."
Not to mention this supports YouTube HDR at 60fps?
In summary $60 for an TV 4K+ is pretty much well worth the price. IDK what else you are looking for...
p.s. Just confirmed I have a game, I am working on, and I compiled with Xcode 12.5, and the game no longer runs at 30fps, the game runs at 60fps!! woot woot -

Apple told EU regulators it has three browsers, all called Safari
chasm said:timpetus said:The DMA is a bunch of BS. Apple should send a message to every customer they know about in the EU explaining the situation, stating that they will stop doing business in the EU, and follow through with that if the DMA isn't repealed. It's in their long-term interest, as compliance will mean giving up their competitive advantage and that will kill any company after a while.
The EU regulators just want to sit up in their high chairs and dictate tech policy, but not actually do the WORK to enforce the policies, and it's the US tech companies duty?!? That's nuts...
Right now the EU looks at how much profits a tech company has and just decide to take a %%% cut. I mean in the old days fines were like "OK $5 million fine." Now it's like how much profit do they have? We're taking 25%! That's extortion!
This is the most disgusting abuse of power without even having to have VOTING in place, it's just their Government dictates to US Companies and they must abide. It's not even a tariff, it's BEEEEYOOOND!
Get a clue, they're TYRANNICAL!! -

Apple's fifth round of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS 15.1 developer betas have arrived
This is how I installed it on my macOS, (this is not for how you should, just how I did) LOL:
I had to change from the Developer Beta 15.1 installs back to regular Developer Beta Installs, then after so quit SysSettings reopens the Beta showed up, and picked up from Beta 4 to Beta 5.
This is how I installed it on my iOS, (this is not for how you should, again just how I did):
I just went to SysSettings got a "try again" error, and just rebooted, took some time to show the update but eventually came up with just the regular Developer Beta Installs, and picked up from Beta 4 to Beta 5.

Seven years later, Apple was right to kill off the 3.5mm headphone jack
BT5 is so good, and BT5 + H1 in AirPods from your Watch even, while streaming music from LTE, is also SO AMAZING, it's like come on... And the the thing is if you have that 1% use case, then break out the adapter.
BT3 was horrible (BT4 bearable), but walking with a headphone cable flopping around getting in your arms ways and such PLEASE...
