Five years of Apple Silicon: How Apple continues to revolutionize chips
Apple took a leap by using unified RAM. It provides much of the speed boost that makes Apple Silicon so quick. This ram isn’t cheap. Integrating it does save Apple money on its mobos. No DIMM slots. Improves memory reliability.Does anyone think that Apple would use RAM slots in the Mac Pro of it actually worked as well?I finally replaced my 2013 iMac with a Mac Mini Pro M4. I’m not using its capabilities but spent the same amount I would have if I could have purchased a M4 27” Retina iMac. I wanted Thunderbolt 5 for the future. In 2035, I’ll be looking to upgrade again. So… M14 by then? -

AppleCare One launches as a single plan to cover multiple Apple devices
$20/month or $240/year?I’ll take my chances. Wait! I always have. In 25 years of owning Apple products across probably 20-25 or more devices, AppleCare would have only “paid off” to have ONCE.My advice (not advice): Save your money in a special account and just be “self-insured” for your devices. The odds are in your favor. How often are the odds in your favor? -
