Apple says a common charger would handicap innovation, inflate waste
Please don’t say “European law markers”, when “EU bureaucrats” is far more accurate.
Switzerland 🇨🇭, Norway 🇳🇴, and very soon Great Britain 🇬🇧, are in Europe the continent, but not the EU trade bloc. 🇪🇺
BTW to my American friends, this is just another example of why GB 🇬🇧 decided to leave, the obsession by EU bureaucrats to regulate everything and anything. -
Fatal fire at Apple supplier's factory in Shanghai kills eight
“Fatal Apple supplier factory fire in Shanghai kills eight”...
that’s really garbled English, how is the apple fatal, is it poisonous? Is so heavy if it falls on your head it will kill you?
Reading the story;
”Fatal fire at an Apple supplier’s factory in Shanghai kills eight”
would be a more accurate headline. -

Satechi launches 16-in-1 Multimedia Pro Dock with Thunderbolt 4
BiC said:Wasn't the entire purpose of Universal Serial Bus to be easy. What seriously happened. And agree - USB-A ain't going anywhere - and it's fast. I don't no why they wouldn't just hop to HDMI and end this. HDMI is universal and you can't get faster. Name me a cable.
USB-A is only fast compared to USB-2 speeds.
HDMI is crippled with DRM, DisplayPort is superior. -

Reagan was right about there being an evil empire. But the evil wasn’t due to the communism, it was due to the sadistic authoritarianism inherited from the czars. The story on YT is most likely fake. But you guys better seek help from psychiatrist if you react to anything with a word Russia or Russian like that. -
Apple celebrates music recognition app Shazam turning 20
I remember using the service in the early days, having to dial a number (2580 I think) on my feature phone and let it listen to the playing song. It would then hang up and text the song details to me.
It was a huge aid as I would eventually get into djing and all those Shazam’s had helped build up my record library. Although an Apple fan, I must admit I was a little concerned when Apple bought the small London based start-up that created it, but thankfully it’s gone on to greater success. -
Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock: A true 16-port powerhouse
krawall said:I'm looking to buy a dock for so many years but I can't find anything that fits me... it's probably me.
I don't need USB-A... And all these docks come loads of USB-A and next to no USB-C ports... Also doesn't say here, but does this work with multiple monitors on M2 Mac?
Anyway, lack of USB-C means I'm out :-(
If they update it then would definitely be interested. -

Well-brought-up people keep the focus on the topic and not let themselves badmouth others.
But this did not all begin with Putin, Russia’s dysfunctional society can be back through Stalinism and Communism and even back to the days of the Tsar. Putin has simply amplified the worst of Russian society while destroying the best of its culture.Which is why if you visit any Russian city today you’ll find ordinary people, and if you go online you’ll find Russian bloggers, all backing Putin in his genocidal war aims.
