  • Five years of Apple Silicon: How Apple continues to revolutionize chips

Apple Silicon is one of the best planned and best executed moves by Apple - ever. If you're going to talk about Tim Cook's legacy, Apple Silicon has to be one of the crown jewels of his accomplishments at Apple. Truly masterful.

I think you are right that Cook has quietly masterminded an absolutely unmatched in house development in the industry, but I also recall that it was the purchase of PA Semi that laid the ground work for all this, and the A4 was really the point that this march was started.  Jobs had the foresight here, and Cook has done the legwork.

This is no fluke or flash in the pan, this is 17 years of solid and measurable year on year progression and advancement from nobodies to top tier without a single blip.  That's a record anyone in any industry would be rightly proud of.

  • Controversial Humane Ai Pin is here, costs $700, and requires a subscription

I watched the whole video. Like Glass, this is destined to turn wearers into public pariahs, "Glassholes, the Sequel." No one wants a pin with a camera and mic pointed at them. So a giant FAIL in the marketplace for sure. BUT... BUT... its AI capabilities are fascinating. What I mainly kept thinking as I watched the video was, "So much of this would be great if built into an iPhone and/or Watch." Let's face it: the iPhone (and smart phones in general) have been mired for a while in a lack of innovative and useful advancement except for the camera systems and--in Android world--different form factors. And Apple seems to have been caught flat-footed when it comes to AI advances. If I were Tim Cook, I'd be looking to buy this company immediately.
I don't really see anything that couldn't be replicated through an App on a watch.  If you've lifting your palm up to project a screen, why not lift your wrist up to see a screen?  This is almost like just giving your the minimum hardware you need to run a Siri that has AI.  But we already own hardware that can do all that.  I bet before these guys even get to a V2, you'll be able to access this AI stuff over actual Siri, even if that means via a 3rd party App on your watch or AirPods.

  • Apple fans in Saudi Arabia can now shop directly from Apple

Can't help but feel we steep in our own stereotypes when we use "Apple Fans" in a headline like this.  How about "Customers".

  • Rumored HomePod with screen gets an indirect nod in iOS 26

It would be cool if this screen was kinda iPad mini size.  Though the speaker elements might need to be smaller to take account of the screen.

.... or... we could just use and iPad mini and a HomePod mini...

Seriously, this product makes no sense for me, because Siri/apple intelligence is simply not viable to attract additional use cases that an IOS device with a touch screen display that is permanently plugged into the wall and isn't portable but still relies on voice input would justify.  What's it gonna do, show me the timer countdown on screen and my calendar as a screensaver?

If there was an escrow betting service, I'd bet money this never ships.
