Apple Photos
I am dreading the new apple photo app changes. It just looks terrible, cluttered and confusing. Furthermore, half my thumbnails will not be visible on the whole screen. There will be swiping left, up and down and then some things will be auto hidden, to be honest, it looks a mess. Yet it's geared as a major overhaul. These things are not necessarily good but if Apple stuffs the photo app, it could break me from continuing to be an apple fan boy. -

Revamped Photos app in iOS 18 makes searching better, but hides a key sharing control
The new photos app looks terrible, confusing and messy. I am dreading the upgrade. Swipe left, swipe up and then some photos auto hidden (e.g. screenshots) from some views.
It's geared as a major overhaul and there are no doubt some welcome changes but when this was demonstrated on the keynote, my heart sank with dread. I just thought, oh my god, I am going to get lost in that thing. Major over hauls are deemed exciting but sometimes they can be a disaster.I have never had such apprehension in an app update as I have with this photos app. I hope I am proved wrong when it's released.
Quote from AppleInider "Most of those (images) are now much more visual, and it takes quite some scrolling to get to the old plain text list showing Hidden, Recently Deleted, and so on.
Case in point, this doesn't sound great. Lets hope by the time the full release is issued that this is a lot better thought out. -
