  • France proceeding with digital tax, regardless of international reform efforts

Time to hit them back in that case and return the favor.

  • Please don't wish for a 'free' App Store

These ignorant a-holes who want the app store completely open would ruin the entire app store if their ideas were to be implemented.

Look at the mess that is Android.

Nobody has any business telling Apple how to run their app store. If anybody doesn't like it, then go use something else. Nobody ever forced anybody to be in the Apple eco system. Don't come to Apple with your braindead ideas and demand them to change.

  • OpenCore Computer attempts sale of Hackintosh systems

This is not fishy at all.

Some company demanding payment only in bitcoin selling an illegal machine and the company/criminals don't even have a contact address.

Anybody dumb enough to order one of these deserves to be scammed.

This brings up the question of why Apple is still using Intel CPUs when AMD CPUs are at a minimum comparable in terms of speed and cost. They're both x86 and both can run macOS so why is Apple sticking with Intel?

They're not. Haven't you heard that Apple is going ARM?

And from what I've read about AMD hackintoshes, there are some compatibility issues with AMD running certain software.

  • Repair shop loses legal battle with Apple over 'counterfeit' iPhone screen import

Screw all of these illegitimate repair shops, using shady parts, counterfeit garbage, stolen parts and illegally obtained parts.

I've used Apple products for decades and have never once had a need or a use to visit any of these repair shops. I couldn't care less if they all closed down tomorrow.

If a repair shop wants to service Apple devices, then either do it by the book or GTFO. They don't get to make their own rules.

  • Apple updates Apple Maps, Siri to show support for 'Black Lives Matter'

And they still can’t manage to update photography of my local Starbucks which has been up and running for years, but Apple Maps still shows it as under construction. I’ve sent in multiple requests which were acknowledged and never fixed.
Just go and deface it with some woke grafitti, and I'm sure it'll be updated in no time.

  • Apple updates Apple Maps, Siri to show support for 'Black Lives Matter'

    SIRI is white.

Perhaps Apple should offer a black SIRI voice to people who are obsessed with race.

I believe that partisan politics should stay out of OSes and not be coded into them.

Siri isn’t a human - or white for that matter. Also, Promoting human rights for black folks isn’t partisan.
I'm not sure what the case is with the newest versions of Siri, but previously at least, Siri was this woman:

    Susan Alice Bennett (nee Cameron, born July 31, 1949) is an American voice-over artist and a former backup singer for Roy Orbison and Burt Bacharach[3]. She is best known for being the female American voice of Apple's "Siri" since the service was introduced on the iPhone 4S on October 4, 2011;

Yeah, but unfortunately many of the elderly people at the most risk are not comfortable with tech or can't even to put it on or manage the routine charging responsibilities.
Yes, that is true. Some older people in my own family are totally clueless about tech.

I guess that it's up to those who are more tech savvy to set up the devices for the older people in their family and show them how to use it with the least amount of hassle/effort.

  • What to expect at WWDC 2020 - and what not to

Put a virtual audience in there, like has been done with some sports matches!

They could be clapping, shouting, applauding and Tim Cook could tell them to shut off their virtual Phones, because of WIFI disruptions. Hopefully the virtual crowd wont be full of weirdos with green hair.

Apple has a chance to make this event exciting and interesting, even though it'll be the first Apple WWDC without an audience. And since it doesn't have to be live, the whole thing can be planned out and edited beforehand, to keep it interesting and to keep the flow going, just like a feature film would be.

  • Best Buy shifts to curbside store service to fight coronavirus [u: reopening]

    Isn't this old news?

I remember getting emails from best buy a long time ago about their curbside pickup.

As for employees following customers around the store and each customer getting their own personal shadow, I suppose that one added benefit is that it's a pretty good way to cut down on theft. :D

Anyway, more and more places are going to begin starting to open up soon I think. This lockdown stuff has outplayed its welcome in my opinion.

I also agree with Elon Musk about the comments he made during the TSLA conference call.
