I agree with the UK group. Apple’s pricing versus its offer for storage is obscene and clearly a way to gouge customers month after month.
To say you don’t *have* to use iCloud is disingenuous. The truth is that you have to work to avoid using iCloud. And even when you set it up to avoid it, OSes revert to the default saving to iCloud after each major upgrade.
It’s one of the reasons why I dislike the current Apple. -

Overall, I really like the language. Sure, there are some things to refine, mainly concerning the translucency of some of the elements, but overall the design seems well thought-out and in service of usability.
I often thought about Aqua while reading the rumours leading up to the big reveal yesterday, but I wanted to hold out on making any decisions until Apple was able to present its work. It’s easy to see references to other OSs — prior Mac ones or from other platforms —, and that what design is often about.The final judgment will have to be made on how much Apple succeeds in marrying design and usability, but from what was presented yesterday I think Apple has done solid work here.
